I attended an event there (our High School Reunion) about a month ago, and it was EPIC! And a key part of making it an outstanding event was the ambiance provided by Larry, Janet, and the facilities in, and around, The Rusty Nail Barn. It is a bit rustic; definitely can be out-door'sy; has country charm; and there is a a fair amount of rural charm. This is a top-notch venue and I highly recommend you consider it for any social event you are planning!

There is a magical feeling when you enter this beautiful fully restored barn. If you are looking for a location to have a barn wedding, a country wedding, an outdoor wedding look no further, this is the absolutely perfect spot inside & out! My Granddaughter recently got married & had her reception at this venue and it was Amazing. Everything was so convenient & Larry bent over backwards to make sure we had everything we needed & wanted to make sure the wedding was a great success. There is an on site kitchen & beautiful restroom downstairs also that was a very pleasant surprise. - Dotty Kellerman

Hello, my name is Larry Holman and, along with my wife, Janet, we have decided to open up our little piece of paradise for other people to enjoy. We live just a short 10 minutes NE of Chanute on a beautiful rolling landscape with lots of trees and plenty of open skies! We have remodeled our barn as the focal point for any occasion that might arise. Some event ideas you may wish to consider would be a family reunion, class reunion, wedding, church groups, school field trips, birthday parties, Halloween party, or how about a lunar eclipse or star gazing party!! Any occasion would be considered.
The Rusty Nail Barn offers you a country setting away from all the city noise and traffic. In addition to a peaceful setting, we can offer such amenities as a bonfire, complete with hotdogs, s’mores, the aroma of wood burning in an open fire pit, hay rack rides, horse drawn carriage rides, horse shoe pits and other games, a hayloft for a good old fashion barn dance, and open skies where you can actually see the stars and listen to the coyotes howling at the moon!! Sound like heaven? Well, how about we do a night-works display, or have helicopter rides for all those brave enough to fly over the Neosho River and view the country side from the air!! Sound like something you would be interested in?
